Hey guys. I finally got the video loaded to YouTube. You can view the edited video at It's not public, so you won't find it by searching. Let me know if you can see everything ok. Thanks.

Hello Brad. My computer has been acting up the last few days. I'm still trying to get the files converted and uploaded to Facebook. Once I get that done, I'll let you know.

Awesome! We swam with so many pretty creole fish and angelfish, but the rays and the bonnethead shark were amazing to watch.

    Hey all,

Thomas (our instructor) wanted me to pass along his instructor # if we want this to be counted as a specialty dive. It is 231937.

If we want it to be counted as a specialty dive, we need to go to and order from there.

Awesome dive today!! I will have an album up of pictures sometime soon.

I have completed all the required paperwork. Should I email it to someone or just bring it with me to the event?

Brad - You can rent from Atlantic Edge in Gaithersburg they charge $30 for wetsuit, $45 for wetsuit+booties+fins+mask. I'll scope out my booty stash this weekend.

Brad - I know they rent wetsuits with Atlantic Edge but I am not sure about the snorkel gear. I'll have to check on that for you. Where do you live - I might have some gear you could borrow - depending on your shoe size. Terry - You should be fine for this event. It is a guided event by a professional dive staff in an aquarium. I personally think it is actually a bit like a refersher dive and so I'd save the money. :) If you were going into the ocean I'd give you a different answer.

I'm in DC right now, and wear about a size 10 shoe. Any luck?

Would definitely do if you organize for beginners. Sounds fun!

Thanks for the information Adventure Girls. I can't wait.

I'd love to do something like this but I'm not scuba certified... Any chance you could organize a basic scuba class?

    January 30, 2013

  • Brad

Does anyone know if you can rent full wetsuit, mask, fins and booties from somewhere - or if a full wetsuit is even required? When I dove in the Bahamas I only wore a swimsuit and that was fine.

Really thinking about doing this -- have always wanted to do an Aquarium Dive and this seems like an amazing experience!

I am Advanced Certified but haven't dived since my certification dives in Cayman Islands in 2009. Should I see about a refresher at my dive school before this event?
