INTRO TO BACKPACKING - SENECA CREEK You have little or non experience backpacking but alway have been willing to give it a try?
Well, now is the time to take the bull by the horns and ride it like a champion.
Scratch this out of your bucket list, don't leave for next year, is now or never.
We will teach you the basis of what-where & how. * What & how to pack * Where to travel * How to make fire *How to navigate using a map and a compass A $80 value Map & Compass Class in any specialized outdoors store, here FREE just for you.
This will be an easy going in/out without the need of killing ourselves climbing Everest to make this trip the one that may change our way to see live and enjoy what mother nature have to offer.
Is an easy/moderate 13 miles round trip, 1 overnight weekend and we will keep a friendly pace of 2 miles x HR and take as many breaks are needed.
We will camp in/close to an stunning water falls Saturday evening/night and come back Sunday mid-day.
For those willing to get wild, bring your swimsuit.
Interior/skinny dipping won't be allowed...I wish but for sure children will be present.

Only serious people is encouraged to join.

GEAR LIST: What you need to bring:
1.) Tent
2.) Sleeping bag
3.) Sleeping pad
4.) Rain suit or at least poncho (just in case)
5.) Water shoes/sandals for stream crossing, NOT flipflop
6.) 2 extra pair of socks.
7.) Backpacking stove + pot/cup/dish/spoon
8.) Dehydrate food for your self.
9.) Camel bag/bottle or similar for drinking water.
10.) Snacks/fruit/power bars, etc.
11.) Small towel
12.) Head lamp
and last but no less, a small day backpack (school backpack) aside of regular backpack...what is this for you may ask your self? An small surprise that we will have in our way back home, trust me, you won't regret it.

Bring whatever you think you "may need" BUT I'll ask you to show me the content of your backpack and don't be surprise when I star removing items from there, this way I will help you just to pack light/essential items, well, that is the main idea after all.
IMPORTANT:
Saturday everybody take breakfast at home or on your way to desire backpacking area, we will stop on a restaurant or similar, lunch will we take up the mountain and NOT the is not Starbucks up there, you NEED to bring food for Saturday dinner and breakfast on Sunday + snack/water/drinks wile we walk in and out, again we will stop for lunch/dinner on our way back home.
