IoT Strategies for Government

Details
The rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) enables exciting capabilities to enhance agencies’ missions but also brings many challenges including security and strategies for integrating this evolving technology.
Please RSVP and join us for an evening of demos, use cases and best practices on how agencies can quickly and securely deploy IoT.
We are excited to feature speakers from Docker Public Sector (https://www.docker.com/industry-government) – Chris Cyrus (https://www.linkedin.com/in/chris-cyrus-10732710/), vice president, and Andrew Weiss (https://www.linkedin.com/in/weissa/), lead engineer – who will join Microsoft Azure Government to discuss how containers are changing the way software is built and procured in government. You will also see demos of Docker Containers being used to quickly and securely deploy IoT in the cloud and get insights into best practices and customer use cases for government IoT.
As always, there will be great networking, food and beverages. This event is free and open to the public.
Please see the agenda below and RSVP today. Be sure to invite your colleagues and connections to join us!

With the rapidly growth of IoT devices, Mike will provide insights on tools and technologies that enable you to connect, monitor, and manage billions of IoT assets with Azure IoT. Mike will discuss: Azure Iot Suite; Azure Iot Hub; Azure Iot Edge; and Azure Container Service, Docker and CI/CD Pipeline
Container-driven development from the device to the monolith (Level 100-200)
Chris Cyrus (https://www.linkedin.com/in/chris-cyrus-10732710/), vice president, Docker Public Sector (https://www.docker.com/industry-government)
Andrew Weiss (https://www.linkedin.com/in/weissa/), lead sales engineer, Docker Public Sector (https://www.docker.com/industry-government)
Containers are changing the way software is built and procured in government. Docker is helping to drive this movement by helping government agencies modernize legacy IT systems and enabling portability of workloads into Azure. Not only is Docker being used for traditional application development, but it is also being used to power devices connected to the Internet of Things. In this session, you'll hear from speakers representing both Docker and Microsoft who will highlight Docker use cases in IoT and how Azure IoT services can be integrated to support these efforts. This will also be accompanied by a couple of small-scale IoT and embedded device demos, along with a discussion on the applicability of IoT in government.
*Awaiting additional speaker confirmation and will update soon!
