Friday Social (Taco and Margarita)

Details

Many of you, have been asking us about our regular weekly FRIDAY SOCIAL. Unfortunately it has been discontinued for the past six months, thanks to COVID-19. But now we are getting back on track.

We will be heading to the newly opened Rebel Taco, which was previously known as Prospect, where we used to party a lot. It became a vibrant cantina serving up bold and creative flavors that redefine the street taco. Let us go back and check it out!

True to its name, Rebel isn’t a traditional Mexican spot. The menu boasts corn and flour tortillas filled with cornflake-battered shrimp, fried avocado, or Buffalo-style chicken (there are also more classic versions like barbacoa and crispy fish).

Along with its popular cornflake-battered “Shrimp Gone Wild” tacos, brand new additions include the “Catch Me If You Can” (Dos Equis-battered cod, caper-lime tartar sauce, shoestring fries), “The Smoke Show” (smoked brisket, cilantro, pickles, fried onions, chipotle barbecue), and “The Big Tuna” (seared ahi tuna, cilantro slaw, crema wasabi). Hand-made corn tortillas can be subbed for flour or a lettuce wrap.

An expanded veggie section includes a “Cauli Love” (smoked cauliflower, chipotle, cucumber, pistachios, shoestring onions) and a fried avocado variety with chipotle sauce and shoestring plantains. A new “Beyond Taco” section will star burritos, quesadillas, and a few entrees.

Ticket price includes one Traditional Taco and one Rebel Margarita. Cash Bar afterwards.

As per DC Government guidelines, this is a sit down dinning event. Maximum of six people will be seated per table. We have super limited space! Get your tickets soon here (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/friday-social-taco-and-margarita-tickets-118357102279).

Closest Metro Station is U Street Cardozo (take 13th St. Exit). Also take into consideration Metro's truck work and allow enough time for your ride. Check it on http://www.wmata.com/ and plan accordingly.

Street parking might be a challenge. However, if you plan to drive, there is a parking garage, Franklin D. Reeves Center Garage, 2000 14th Street NW, Washington DC).

But, the event involves drinking and we highly recommend a taxi or a shared ride service. DRINK RESPONSIBLY.
