Nancy E. Wigal hosts the four events in the BML Technology Series and is the owner and operator of the Search Engine Academy Washington DC. Ms. Wigal is certified in basic, advanced and master SEO techniques and processes through the Search Engine Academy. After successfully completing both Robin Nobles’ online basic and advanced SEO certification courses, Ms. Wigal found herself wanting to know more and decided to get serious. She attended the five-day SEO master certification course in Las Vegas, where she met SEO experts Robin Nobles and John Alexander. At the end of those five days she decided to establish and operate a Search Engine Academy here in Washington, D.C.

People who have heard her talking about SEO can tell she’s very passionate about it. She loves showing business owners how SEO can take a tired, lazy, non-performing, resource-draining website and make it work hard and smart at what matters most – increasing sales and profits.

Ms. Wigal retired from the U.S. Federal Government. For more than 29 years, She served first as a soldier in the U.S. Army, then as a civilian federal government employee.

This Event is presented by Christopher Wood, Co-Founder of the LGBT Technology Partnership

In this capacity, Mr. Wood provided project planning and strategic guidance to groups developing programs around jobs, legal programs, intake processes, localized statistics and employer/employee training opportunities. His work has assisted several transgender communities across many US cities move transgender assistance programs to the next level.

Prior to that, Mr. Wood worked at Discovery Communications creating social media and strategic marketing campaigns directed toward rural and LGBT communities. As part of his strategic campaigns, he was responsible for directing outreach programs at various LGBT Pride festivals across the country. From this work and previous experience, Mr. Wood brings a keen understanding of the needs of local LGBT organizations and how best to connect with them.

Mr. Wood has also owned a successful marketing consulting practice with clients such as the Washington Blade, Blackbarn Media and Vida, to name a few. Mr. Wood joined his client, the Washington Blade, an LGBT newspaper, as the full-time marketing manager. In that capacity, Mr. Wood worked on creating strategic partnerships with various local and national LGBT organizations for advertising, events and outreach.

Mr. Wood’s leadership, passion for technology and entrepreneurial appetite has instinctively led him to co-found LGBT Technology Partnership.
