In 2013, we hosted a "#LegalHack the Sharing Economy (https://www.meetup.com/DCLegalHackers/events/142943372/)" event where we briefly discussed Uber and DC legislation. A lot of legally significant things have happened with Uber beyond your regular ride-hailing app regulation issues since then, including:

• Self-Driving Car Drama (a lawsuit with Waymo (Google's Self-Driving Car Unit) re: stolen trade secrets, a self-driving car accident)

• Secret Software (to evade authorities aka Greyball (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/03/technology/uber-greyball-program-evade-authorities.html), to surveil rival Lyft aka Hell (http://www.theverge.com/2017/4/13/15283840/uber-hell-shady-software-track-lyft-drivers))

• Labor issues (sexual harassment (http://fortune.com/2017/03/21/uber-internal-investigation/), a class action lawsuit by drivers for tips)

• Antitrust issues (price fixing allegations (http://prospect.org/article/uber%E2%80%99s-antitrust-problem))

We're going to discuss them all in addition to #deleteuber, the employee exodus and gossip, uber's data sharing agenda, and more.

Speakers:

• Kevin Webb, Transportation Data aficionado

• Carol Miaskoff, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

• Moderator: Alan deLevie, DC Legal Hackers
