In the 1960s, Tom Wesselmann was one of the key leaders in the Pop Art Movement along with Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. I had a glimpse of this exhibition at a preview and it is stunning! We will tour "Tom Wesselmann Draws" and explore the complete collection at the Kreeger. . .including the Monet room! Set in fashionable Foxhall and once a private residence, the museum is warm and gorgeous and has an outdoor terrace with a view of DC.
Please arrive at 1:45 PM for guided tour that begins at 2 PM. Admission is $10. The Kreeger is not Metro accessible. For driving directions and bus info, please click here (http://www.kreegermuseum.org/visit/directions.asp).
For the After Party, we will go to Chef Geoff, 3201 New Mexico Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20016. Chef Geoff is in Wesley Heights, a 3 minute drive from the museum.
