futureNOW: Mixed Reality Computing With Jesse Mculloch of Microsoft Hololens

Details
In 2019, we're excited to kick off a new year of events on immersive computing with our first ever futureNOW panel. At these events, you'll hear about real-world use cases of mixed reality technology, get insight from thought leaders and creators, and discover why immersive technology will continue to grow at an exponential rate. This special joint event is made possible with collaboration from MAVRIC and VR/AR Association DC.
Last November, the US government awarded a $480 million dollar contract for sourcing augmented reality headsets for the US military, a signal of just how critical a role mixed reality will play in future communications, logistics and combat support. The headset chosen?
None other than Microsoft's Hololens.

So what's the hype about? Now's your chance to ask them yourself. Jesse McCulloch is a Mixed Reality Developer Relations Program Manager at Microsoft. Starting as a Mixed Reality Developer in 2016, he built up a strong community around HoloLens and Immersive Headsets, and then joined Microsoft in 2018. This gives him a unique perspective and strong desire to advocate for developers to the internal Microsoft teams, as well as provide a route for feedback to Microsoft. He is often found hanging out in the HoloDevelopers Slack group, and on Twitter trying to keep up with everything going on in this rapidly growing space.
