It is hard to keep tracking of the changing environments in the VR community. Come explore what 2019 means for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality & Mixed Reality. If you don’t know the difference, you will learn this this and all about the hardware, software and accessories that are available today.
Join us at the latest DCVR NoVA chapter meeting on Tuesday March 26 at 7:00 at Nova Labs in Reston, VA. DCVR’s own Steve Sheets will recap the “State of the Union in Virtual Reality” talk he gave at MagFest 2019 (DC”s Computer Music & Gaming festival). Topics that will be coved include:

° Explanation of Degrees of Freedom & Room Scale
° Differences like Tracking Sensors, Tethered, Haptic, 3D Sound
° Current Available Hardware
° Development tools for VR
° Companies position regarding VR

About Steve Sheets
Originally from Silicon Valley, Steve has been embedded in the software industry for over 25 years. As an expert in user interface and design, he started developer desktop applications for companies like Apple and AOL, moved into mobile development, and is now working in the virtual reality and Augment Reality space. He has taught Objective-C & Swift development classes (MoDev, Learning Tree), as well as given talk on variety of developer topics (DC Mac Dev group, Capital One Swift Conference). He is an avid game player, swordsman and an occasional game designer
