DEC_TECH 2016 Meetup: Updates on Blockchain Projects at Decentral & in Toronto

Details
It’s 2016 and DEC_TECH is back to hosting a series of events that will continue throughout the year. Starting off next week with the kickoff event (May 11th, 2016), there will be a number of meetups and get-togethers leading up to the 2016 Blockchain World Expo. Decentral has taken some time off to focus on new projects, and we are excited to share some general updates on what we have been up to!
Meet our expanded team, and get the latest news about Kryptokit & Jaxx. We will be going through some of the app’s updates (including Jaxx 1.0) as well as laying out our plans for Jaxx’s future. Also, there will be discussion on our newest initiative: Accelerate Finance, an organization with a goal to collaboratively build out Canada’s finance and fintech infrastructure so that companies in the ecosystem can thrive both in Canada and globally. Accelerate Finance will lead the charge to find new and disruptive solutions for finance by facilitating collaboration between startups and established financial institutions. It will also develop actionable recommendations to modernize Canadian regulatory frameworks for the fintech age.
For those interested in Ethereum, Anthony Di Iorio (Co-Founder of Ethereum, CEO of Decentral and Chief Digital Officer of TMX Group) will be present to speak about the latest developments in the Ethereum sphere, including some of the more exciting recent applications and proposals for applying the technology. We also want to do something special for our community members, so, just for Decentralists, this meetup is your chance to purchase special ‘Community Rate’ passes to the 2016 Blockchain World Expo at a heavily discounted price! As always, light refreshments and drinks will be served, so don’t miss out!
The 2016 Blockchain World Expo will be held from September 19th - 21st, 2016 at the Sheraton Centre Hotel. More details can be found at:
