✅ SPEAKERS & TALKS
▶️ Talk 1: A Playbook for Better Collaboration (Richard Wand (https://www.linkedin.com/in/richard-wand-687728/))
Rich Wand, Head of Customer Experience at Hugo & Cat (http://www.hugoandcat.com), will be talking about a product he recently worked on that helps customers really understand their energy use, motivating them to change their behaviour to use less energy. The product that the team created was great, but the real winner for him was the people and the process.
With a 20+ team made up from multiple agencies, spread across different offices and countries, and with a highly complex technology stack, this project had trouble written all over it. But a carefully crafted process that paired Lean UX with Agile development made light of many of the usual challenges. The way the team worked brought development and experience teams closer together, right from the outset.
So Rich will be sharing some of the successes and learnings from this project, including their ‘envisioning’ phase, how they integrated user research into the development process, along with all the design and communication tools that helped things run so smoothly.
▶️ Talk 2: What files should developers expect from UX designers? (Louis Whittal (https://www.linkedin.com/in/louiswh/))
Louis Whittal is a data-driven UX design expert and founder of userfirst.agency. He’ll be taking us through the kinds of files a UX designer will need to provider developers.
Long-gone are the days when websites and apps were sent to be built from png renderings or psd files. Developers are now entitled to ask for prototypes as well as a number of assets to aide the initial front-end build.
Find out more about the latest design tools and processes that enable better communication and collaboration between design and development teams. This talk will equip you with the right questions to make sure you get the most out of designers working on your projects.
This month our gracious sponsor is Hugo & Cat (http://www.hugoandcat.com) who are providing the evening’s space and refreshments.
