Gluent and Hadoop

Details
Abstract: Extending Enterprise Applications with the Full Power of Hadoop
This session covers how to use Hadoop as a cheap storage platform for database archiving and as a super-scalable platform for workload offloading, all without having to rewrite your existing applications or modify your application architecture. We will also cover how to enrich and extend relational databases by presenting any new Big Data sources to your applications, eliminating the need to load all this data into your traditional RDBMS/SAN storage platforms. This is a technical session that explains how to build such hybrid systems and what to watch out for along the way.
Target Audience: This is a technical session for DBAs, Hadoop administrators, developers, IT-managers, IT-infrastructure, application & solution architects.

Company Bio: Gluent Inc. (https://gluent.com/) is a Dallas, TX based software company focused on liberating your enterprise data using the power of distributed data storage and computing. We understand that data born in a single database can be difficult to share across the enterprise, and we have the solution to these data silos. Gluent Data Platform enables all applications to access all enterprise data, at anytime, on demand, and without any code migration or rewrites.
