What we're about

Have you experienced a loss? Do you feel stuck and unsure what to do with your grief?

Do you feel like you need to put on the mask of "I'm fine" or that you need to "be strong or suck it up"? Have you had a hard time finding people who truly understand what grieving is like for you?

If so, then there is a good possibility this group will be the right place for you!

There are more than 40 different types of losses so whether it's death, divorce, pet loss, loss of health for you or someone else or another loss there is a place for you here.

I have experienced multiple losses throughout my life and somehow seemed to stumble through but I got exhausted pretending that everything was okay when it really wasn't. I was functioning in life but not truly living life in the present. Friends encouraged me to find my "new normal", but what the heck does that mean?

Grievers tend to isolate. Isolation can be physical and emotional. Grievers can also isolate emotionally from expressing their deep hurts because they have felt so misunderstood.

For those of you who are looking for a community, who are looking grow through their experience, who are looking to be present in life and who are looking to be able to open your heart again then please join. This doesn't mean you are forgetting those you love who may no longer be here but it does mean engaging in life for the time you have left on this earth. This means being in an environment with no judgement or analysis since all of us grieve in our own unique way.

This is a place of hope and restoration, to help heal hearts that are broken and be part of a community who will love and support one another. This group is open to all types of grievers because it is the grief itself that we all have in common.

The goal of this group is to create a community that understands and is supportive of each other. A group where we can get together over a meal, have a variety of classes or discussions as well as activities where we can learn and grow from one another.

I'm not a therapist or a social worker. I'm a griever with a desire to help other grievers.
I'm so thankful for God, my dog and my experience with the grief recovery method. When I finally reached out and got some help and truly began healing it has led to the opportunity to help others.

You are not alone and are welcome here!
