Using Visualizations for Data Exploration and Decision Making


Our next meetup event will introduce Looker, an enterprise-class analytics platform that empowers users, data analysts, and application developers to get that value from their data — from workflow integrations and custom applications to business intelligence and visualization. Jonathon is a Sales Engineer & Data Analyst from Looker that will discuss application components that allow users to build rich, modern data experiences within or outside of Looker as well as purpose-built applications, templated data models, and visualization plug-ins. Looker 7 was recently recently released and we'll see how the solution leverages analytics to collaborate and discover insights faster with improved dashboards and visualizations.

The easiest entrance to The Centrum’s visitor parking garage is located off Welborn Street, between North Hall Street and Cedar Springs Road. For easy access, please use the first elevator you see when entering the parking garage from Wellborn St. and select Floor 1.

SPEAKER: Jonathon Miller-Girvetz is a Sales Engineer/Data Analyst within Customer Success and Pre-Sales at Looker. He has a passion for data analytics and science, visualizations, and data exploration. Jonathon brings his expertise architecting Looker’s data platform, designing enterprise systems and operational workflows, and customizing technology adoption rollouts to support rapidly growing companies. During the meetup Jonathon will leverage his experience with technical programming languages, databases, visualizations, and platform architecture skills.
