VERMICULTURE: Composting with Worms Plus Make Your Vermiculture Container.

Details
Worms are perfect for composting your fruit and veggie scraps. They yield a very rich, natural compost that can be applied without burning your plants. The compost can also be used to make a compost tea. Jana Stevens of Worm Berry Farm will give a how-to-do-it talk about composting with worms and follow this by helping all who wish make a Vermiculture container. She will also have worms for sale.
If you want to make a container, come with the following: Shredded paper and/or cardboard and a plastic container. The container must have a cover and it must be opaque. Worms like it dark in their home.
Make your container a size that will fit comfortably in your home as the worms can’t live outside. They are good composters for an apartment, too.
At the Greenville Farmers Market, farmers sell only what they grow/make themselves and all live within 100 miles of Greenville. Come early to shop this local market and you not only enjoy fresh wholesome foods, but you also save thousands of food miles!
