Since discovering how to program ‘Hello World’ on a vintage Toshiba in the ‘80’s, Emma has worked across Telecommunications, Manufacturing & Insurance industries to deliver products that solve real user problems.

7:10pm: EYESPYFX - Signals & Sounds / Anthony Hutton

Anto started work as an Industrial Designer with BT Research Laboratories in the Human Factors Division in 1987. In 2002 he founded the spin out from Ulster University, EyeSpyFX with the lofty aim to “Present the physical environment as a web page”. This has manifested itself as a sustained software development & design consultancy in the areas of IoT, video security & access control.

7:30pm: PRAMERICA - Wave Innovation Lab / Joe Dunleavy & Brian Murray

Joe joined Pramerica in 2005 & progressed through the Software Development department to the role of Project Manager in 2007, was promoted to Systems Manager for Prudential Life in Roseland, New Jersey and in 2011 and became the Head of Technology for Law & Compliance. He completed a 3 year international rotation from Pramerica to the US in 2015, based in Newark. In his current role Joe is responsible for heading up the Pramerica Wave Innovation lab focused on Disruptive & Emerging Technology. It all began in 2001 with Microsoft and progressed through a “.com startup” (Nooked), in his home town of Sligo. Joe has a BSc in Computing from Sligo IT and a Masters of Business in Innovation & Leadership from LYIT.

Brian joined Pramerica in 2000, progressed through the Software Development department to the role of Development Team Lead '03. He then played the role of Project Manager and in 2013, was promoted to Systems Manager for LCBE, responsible for the systems footprint within Pramerica. In January 2015, he became the Head of Technology for LCBE and since 2017 has taken up a role as Innovation Director for a number of corporate centers within Pramerica. His career began '93 with Corel Corporation and he then joined IBM Lotus working on the localisation of Lotus products, Mail & SmartSuite. Brian has a BSc in Applied Computing from Ulster University & is currently undertaking the MBS in Leadership & Innovation in LYIT. He's also a volunteer and an active responder with the Donegal Mountain Rescue Team.

Dee Doherty - User Experience Director II FIFA, EASPORTS, EA
Dee is a former LYIT student & travelled the world in pursuit of his dream job - working for EA. Once there, he helped transform UX & increase UX maturity for one on the most successful video game franchises in the world - FIFA.
