HGTV and the DIY network is popular & profitable for a reason.  It's fun, rewarding, and most of all, an affordable way to create a custom look for your space.  The adage is, "If he/she/they can do it, so can I."

Almost anything can be accomplished with persistence and sheer determination.  We all can benefit from insight, inspiration, and acquired knowledge.  And doing things with others of like mind, interests, and talents is rewarding AND fulfilling.

At least that is the philosophy that has led to me feeling like my tail is in a sling on multiple occasions. :-)  Once I pull through, I am amazed and love that feeling of gratitude!  But I often find myself looking to others to ask and learning A LOT from the experience of others.  I also find myself sharing my experience to help others avoid my prior mistakes.

In forming this group my hope is to have folks share ideas, insights, tips, techniques, lessons, and tasks. What you may not know how to do, someone else may find a true love and skill for.  You may have a skill that others would appreciate tutoring in.  It's the sharing, support, and camaraderie that make those DIY projects so fulfilling.  If you have similar interests and abilities, come find others like you with that "can do" spirit.

The group can focus on any aspect of How-To or Do-It-Yourself that interests its members.  Folks will likely find friends as well as advisers/advised.  Whether it's planting a wildflower garden to attract wildlife; enhancing your interior with tile, wood, medallions, trim, or hardware; using a faux painting technique; building an outdoor space with fire pit, small pool/fountain, or laying pavers; or designing/redesigning a room or entire floor - there are incredible resources and images to provide inspiration, support, and guidance.  Come and share your dreams to recreate or enhance your space.
