Hacking Session - Webcam Microscope Edition!

Details

Too skint to afford a microscope? Not anymore! Learn to take any webcam and convert it into a microscope that is ideal for taking out into the field, and capable of capturing great photos and video straight to your laptop. In this workshop, we will cover how to hack the webcam, how to make a stage for your slides (both on-the-fly and designed), and start exploring the microcosmos.

Pizza will be provided!

Workshop attendees are encouraged to bring along the webcam of their choice to hack, but Logitech c270 webcams (Retail at JBHiFi $69), along with a USB LED light, are available for purchase through the event organiser for $40. Please purchase with your tickets in advance of the workshop to ensure there is sufficient supply.
