D-NewTech at WSU "Fishbowl" Auditorium
One awesome guest speaker and then four startup creators this month take the stage for ten minutes each, five minutes to pitch and five minutes to answer questions, followed by open announcements and community networking. Join us for the after party at Common Pub (5440 Cass Ave, Detroit). Guest speaker: Jamie Shea, Quicken Loans Community Investment Fund Portfolio Strategy Manager Entrepreneurs: 1. Russell Schindler - Sample Serve - The SampleServe web and mobile platform facilitates the management, collection, labeling, and reporting of both environmental field data and laboratory data. Revenue is then generated from the sale of info-graphical reports. 2. Jenkins Ebiware - Samex LLC - Samex is a software development agency, and our mission is to help businesses overcome challenges in software development. Whether it's a project that needs to be completed, or a company has an open seat/position for a software developer/web designer, we can meet those needs with a remote workforce of designers and developers that we train, test and certify in many different technologies. 3. Daniel Pop - Codekey.org - CodeKey provides a platform for parents and educators to run after-school coding clubs. The CodeKey platform collects payments, provides curriculum, provides support and in general makes it easy to run a coding club. There is no cost to sign up or run a club and no commitment or contracts for schools or educators. Parents pay when their students enroll. The Educator (club leader) is then paid to run the club minus the CodeKey platform fees. 4. Leann Abad - Vicinity - A platform that connects travelers to local tour guides for on-demand tours.
