GDPR for Project Managers

Details
• What we'll do
We all know it's coming and have that sense of impending doom but what is actually required for GDPR compliance and how do we plan for it?
Frans Lytsen is CTO and CISO at NewOrbit; architecting and implementing large and small-scale software for our customers, all running on Azure. He will be talking about GDPR and what it means to software builders and owners, as well as how to prepare for it.
"The new General Data Protection Regulations are nearly upon us and if you haven't started preparing yet, now would be a good time to panic.
In this talk, I will highlight the key areas that you need to consider in your software - even if you think you don't store personal data.
GDPR is the replacement for the Data Protection Act. The deadline for compliance is May 2018 and it arrives with much tighter rules and significantly increased fines. It has a an extended scope and tighter rules for consent, subject access requests, the right to be forgotten, automated deletion, auditing and more."
There will be time to network and bring any community news you may want to share. We also have a slot or two for a lightning talk (up to 10 minutes) if you've something you'd like to speak about. As ever, doors open at 1845 and close at 1915 but a number will be left if you get in a bit later.
