Erwin Park Junior Ride & Race Clinic

Not a DORBA-specific event, but this would be a great ride and learning experience for the kids!

DFW Summer Series and the DORBA Juniors will be hosting a Junior Ride and Race Clinic on Sunday, April 29, 2018, starting at 1:00 PM. It will take place at the "Upper Lot" pavilion in Erwin Park.

This FREE event will kick off the DFW Summer Series of weekly races at Erwin Park (which includes Junior age categories), and provide an opportunity for kids to get together for fun and food.

We will have a race "clinic" for kids wanting to learn about mountain bike racing, noncompetitive group rides for kids who just want to come out and have fun, and a free race put on by DFW Summer Series! Mechanical support will be provided by Plano Cycling & Fitness, with swag and raffle prizes from both Plano and Latini's Bicycle Repair.

The clinic will be geared towards Juniors of all ages and experience. We will have certified MTB instructors and experienced racers present to give advice to kids interested in mountain bike racing at the DFW Summer Series and later in the year.

Schedule of events:
12 Noon Check-in. Plano Cycling van on site for bike inspections & mechanical support
1:00-1:30 Race “Clinic”
1:30-3:00 Junior rides
3:00 DFW Summer Series Race!
4:00 Food and awards
