Today’s technology has been far exceeded by expectation for immediacy.
Hi friends! When I started building my website for a community of developers, I needed my site to be 1. Fast: Fast to develop, fast to update, fast to deploy, fast to scale globally, fast to recover from disaster and most importantly speedy fast for the users 2. Secure for the community and 3. Cheap to operate. At first, with conventional tools like Drupal and approaches like Server-Side-Rendering - this seemed like an unachievable goal. I told myself – “There has to be a better way!” Fortunately, the better way was not too far from what I already know or already have!
If you face similar challenges, I invite you to look at JAM Stack. This talk is about what JAM Stack is and more importantly what it is NOT. You’ll also learn how this new architectural approach makes your next website fast, secure and inexpensive. We’ll explore many choices of tools and technologies in this space and also why “Baking is better than frying” not only for your health but also for web development!
