Tonight we continue our eight-week video series called "Rescue Your Love Life." These videos are based upon the book of the same name by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend. The subtitle is “Changing The Eight Dumb Attitudes and Behaviors that Will Sink Your Marriage” - but these attitudes and behaviors are found not just in marriages, but in many, if not most, relationships. Unrealistic expectations of partners are the root causes of many relationship failures. This material will help you understand past relationship experiences, and prepare yourself for healthier ones in the future.
An overview of the eight weeks:

Our weekly meetings run from 6:30 pm to 8:30pm. After a brief introduction, we see a video (or at other times of the year, hear from a live speaker) until about 7:30. Then after an overview of our program and some introductions and announcements, we take a short break and go into smaller groups at about 7:45 for the remainder of the meeting. There's a special group for newcomers and visitors, support groups, and discussion groups.
We also offer an on-site dinner, children's activities and infant/child care. These services are offered for a fee and require reservations in advance. This week's dinner begins at 5:30 pm (not 5:45 as usual) and is part of a fund-raiser, priced differently than usual at $10 for adults and $8 for children. Besides the start time and cost, our normal dinner and child care procedures (https://www.meetup.com/DRR-Burlingame/pages/Dinner_and_children) are in effect tonight.

There are no fees or membership requirements for this program. You do not have to have a Meetup account to attend. If you do have an account, it would be great if you'd click "Yes" if you're coming to this and future meetings. That makes our group more visible on Meetup, and encourages others to come.

Your questions, concerns, ideas and suggestions can be submitted here (http://www.divorceandrelationshiprecovery.org/contact).
Finally, you can learn more about the Divorce and Relationship Recovery Network (http://www.divorceandrelationshiprecovery.org), an independent, non-profit organization founded to launch and support new groups like this one. Your donation (http://www.divorceandrelationshiprecovery.org/donate) will help people in other areas to benefit from new Divorce and Relationship Recovery groups.
