What we're about

Welcome to our Meetup group. We're hoping to launch a weekly Divorce and Relationship Recovery group in Oakland soon, like our five other Bay Area groups. Feel free to visit any of those in the meantime. The closest ones to Oakland are in Castro Valley and San Francisco, both meeting on Sundays at 4:00. Locations and meeting day/time info for all give Bay Area groups at: http://www.divorceandrelationshiprecovery.org/find-a-group

During the first part of each of our weekly meetings, we view a video or hear from a live expert on some topic related to the divorce/separation/loss experience. The second part of each meeting will include supportive, confidential smaller group time, to reflect on what we've learned and what we're dealing with.

We help people through the emotional, spiritual, psychological, legal, financial, health and child-related issues related to divorce and broken relationships. We welcome everyone, without regard to circumstances, timeline or faith background.

The best way to stay informed about this new group is to join it - then you'll get e-mail updates as our plans develop. Thank you!

Identify the sources of relationship missteps, and learn what you can do about them. In this series, Milan and Kay Yerkovich draw on the powerful tool of attachment theory to show how your early life experiences created an underlying blueprint that shapes your behavior, beliefs and expectations of all your relationships. They identify five types of injured imprints that often trap couples in destructive, repetitive patterns. Discover the truths that have transformed countless relationships, and find your way to richer ones for yourself.
