For those of you who already have a basic level of understanding about Ruby on Rails and would like to boost your understanding to the next level, this may be a good option for you.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Give students an immersive course of study dealing with the Ruby on Rails web framework and associated technologies. Provide students with the practice needed in order to be prepared for industry interviews. Introduce students with basic Ruby on Rails experience to advanced topics. Develop and practice communications skills necessary to work in the Ruby on Rails industry. Gain a deeper knowledge of the process of software development and the tools that industry professionals use to accomplish their tasks. ASSIGNMENTS

In-class pairing on adding features to existing products Online reading assignments and screen casts as needed Student project due on Demo Day Daily knowledge question and answer sessions Students will have the opportunity to participate in instructor led mock interviews MATERIALS

An Apple notebook computer is strongly recommended for this class, however a Linux or Windows based laptop will work. iMacs are available in the classroom lab, but you will be doing a lot of assignments outside of the classroom.
. While textbooks are not required for this class, there will be optional reading assignments that will help broaden your knowledge on specific topics.

Level 2 Certificate Program: This post Level 1 Certificate class will take place on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00pm – 9:00pm and 10:00am – 1:00pm on Saturday mornings. The Ruby on Rails Level 2 Certificate Program is taught by Jason Noble. Prerequisite: Ruby on Rails Level 1 Certificate Program or equivalent.
