Why would you like to take programming training

Ruby is the hot ticket, it seems, but I want to know why I would select & use it over all the other great tools I already have at my disposal. Big companies with big development budgets choose it, but my customers tend to be smaller companies that don't have in house developers. Is it still a viable solution? I want to be convinced.

I'm a freelance web developer and co-founder of the Co-Motion Boulder coworking facility. Oh - and I'm also an e-commerce expert, run a e-com biz ... what to do with all this free time? Learn Ruby, of course!
