Selling Your Book without Selling Your Soul, with Trad Pub Author JR. Forasteros

Details
No one writes a book because they love marketing themselves. But especially in today's publishing climate, an author has to sell themselves and their book.
How do we approach traditional publishers with an eye for marketing ourselves and our books? How do we plan for our books to be a success?
We'll cover everything from book tours to podcasting to using your network!
Join the Dallas Nonfiction Authors Association on Thursday, April 26, at 7 p.m. at Yeager Office Suites in Plano.
JR. Forasteros's most recent book is Empathy for the Devil, which was published by InterVarsity Press and released late last year. He also hosts a number of podcasts, including The StoryMen podcast (which is also co-hosted by one of our co-leaders, Clay Morgan.) In the last few months, JR. has done just about everything possible to promote his book. Now he's ready to share his experience and insight with our group.
Note: RSVP ASAP! Our space is limited to 30 people.
DO YOU WANT TO ATTEND ALL MEETINGS FOR FREE?
Newcomers always attend their first meeting for free.
If this will be your first meeting, contact Dallas NFAA co-leader Blake Atwood through Meetup (https://www.meetup.com/Dallas-Chapter-Nonfiction-Authors-Association/members/12546934/) and let him know you'll be attending. He will set your RSVP to yes on Meetup so that you won't have to pay the $10 online registration.
Subsequent meetings will have an attendant cost of $10 if paid in advance through the Meetup group or $15 if paid at the door.
However, Authority- and VIP-level members of the NFAA get free access to local chapter meetings. If you're an Authority member, print out your membership page by logging into your NFAA account, and bring it with you to our next meeting for complimentary meeting admission. To become an Authority or VIP member and enjoy a wealth of benefits, click here (https://nonfictionauthorsassociation.com/join/).
MEETING DETAILS
This is not a leads group. If your primary objective is to sell something, this isn't the group for you. We're here to support each other on the publishing journey. We welcome experienced and aspiring writers of nonfiction. Invite a nonfiction-writing friend or two to join our Meetup group and register for this event. Walk-ups will also be accommodated, but we greatly appreciate registrations as that helps us better plan each meeting.
