It's the second annual Tour de Meers road trip. This year we will be staying in two cabins. I have reserved last years cabin and the one next door. They each sleep 10 in beds. There are 2 bedrooms in each that can accommodate couples or anyone else who doesn't mind sharing sleeping quarters. One of them has a loft area with several twin beds and the other has two double futons in the living room. I am limiting RSVP's to 20. If you are a couple or have a roomie in mind please post as such and indicate that you would like to share a room.
I have monitored the order in which RSVP's have come in and will continue to do so. It's first come first serve on the bedrooms and I am giving priority to couples on the rooms with doors.
The cabins cost $350 a night for the smaller one and $470 for the larger one. That's 82 dollars per person if we have 10 staying in each cabin. I am not requiring that anyone pay in advance to RSVP but please be sure you plan to go . We understand that things do come up but if someone backs out it leaves the rest of us having to pay more. Here is the link to the accommodations. The two we have reserved are The Club House and Hog Heaven. http://www.medicineparkrentals.com. I was not able to find pictures this time but the pictures from last year are of Hog Heaven. The Club House is the one right next door. This site has pictures of Hog Heaven. http://www.medicinepark.com/lodging.php
Last year we brought food to make dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning, which worked out well and we will do that again. Saturday lunch we ate out. This year we want to try The River Cafe, which is near our cabin in Medicine Park.

We will meet at The Cracker Barrel in Denton at the intersection of 380 and I-35 to have a bite to eat and caravan up to Oklahoma. The ride starts at the Meers Volunteer Fire Station and winds through the beautiful Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Preserve. About half of this ride is very hilly. The other half has flat stretches and moderate hills. Steve and I will likely ride about a 15-16 pace. There are 3 distances 21, 52, and 63.
