What we're about

Meet up with other Dallas-area folks who share your desire for a much smaller government that is fiscally conservative but socially liberal. Learn more about the libertarian philosophy, volunteer to help with various events, or just enjoy your favorite beverage with fun like-minded individuals! We generally do three different types of meetups: 1) Social - Just fun and conversation. Example: Monthly Beer Lover's Caucus 2) Activism - Working to promote the cause. Example: Outreach booth at the Tea Party 3) LPDC Business - The business of running a political party. Example: Executive Committee meetings We will try to always make it clear which of these categories a specific meetup falls into, so you don't show up with your party hat on and walk into a dreary business meeting.

We plan to have these meetings last an hour but they may go longer depending on availability of committee members and audience interest. We may also use this time, if available, to go over draft proposals we have been working on.

Casual Lunch with UK Academic Researcher

Panera Bread

We will have a casual discussion with University of London academic researcher Melissa Butcher who is visiting the USA to learn more about how Americans view "freedom". She will be writing a book on her discoveries and is interviewing various groups here to get a better understanding of how we think. Come offer your (hopefully, well-reasoned) libertarian point of view on freedom!

This event is a second opportunity to talk to Melissa for those who cannot make it to the general meeting the following Tuesday evening.

Monthly Dinner & General Meeting

Spring Creek Barbeque

Our regular general meeting -- Note the date change from our usual! Everyone invited!

At this meeting, we will be hosting University of London academic researcher Melissa Butcher who is visiting the USA to learn more about how Americans view "freedom". She will be writing a book on her discoveries and is interviewing various groups here to get a better understanding of how we think. Come offer your (hopefully, well-reasoned) libertarian point of view on freedom!

We will be in the private area in the back. No fee, but we strongly encourage you to eat dinner here to support Spring Creek BBQ and thank them for the space!

Come have dinner, talk about politics, give the LPDC feedback and suggestions, and just have a blast with fellow Libertarians! 🙂 See you there!

2022 Dallas County Precinct Conventions

Poor David's Pub

All precinct conventions for the Libertarian Party of Dallas County will take place in one location at one time. Your precinct convention is the initial convention that you MUST attend if you wish to participate as a delegate in the Libertarian county, district, and state conventions.

Please be on time, and bring photo identification, as well as your current voter registration card if you have it. Instructions will be given on how to hold your individual precinct convention.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, remember that voting in the 2022 Democratic or Republican state primary will make it ILLEGAL for you to affiliate with the Libertarian Party of Texas, so do NOT cast a primary vote if you plan to attend and to be a member of the LP this election year.
