Elements of Functional Programming In Scala - Part 1

Mark Kegel has generously volunteered to do a presentation on the various elements of Functional Programming and how they are represented/implemented in Scala. This first presentation only covers the libraries which come with Scala itself. We won't be covering ScalaZ or Cats at this time.
