If you're interested in joining this game, contact GM Cody. This is a paid dungeon crawl game is for a specific and predetermined group of players. Spectating is welcome, but being able to play is unlikely if you have not been in contact with the GM. Permanent seats may occasionally open up, so keep an eye our for emails from Dungeons and Dragon in Dallas if you're interested in joining the campaign. They call it the Fool’s Hope, and no one has ever been to the bottom. Many have entered and many have come back out, but not always alive or in one piece. Different adventuring groups disagree on the contents of the Fool’s Hope. It seems that both the layout and denizens of the dungeon differ for each party that goes in. There is no mapping it, there is no understanding it, and there is almost no surviving it. Only one thing is known for sure about the Fool’s Hope dungeon: the gods of the realm say that they have left a gift of incalculable, world-changing power on the lowest floor. To reach it, you must enter the Fool’s Hope and fight your way down. For more information, contact Cody.

This paid campaign follows a band of adventurers that sets out to prevent the remnants of an ancient beholder civilization from dreaming an evil god into existence. The party has already foiled the plans once, but visions of other beholders attempting the ritual guide the group onward across the world. Season 2 picks up with the party being escorted by dragons to the Cloud Aviaries, where the dragons have something to reveal about their ancient involvement with the ritual. This campaign is best described as lighthearted and combat-driven. If you're interested in playing, message me on Meetup or follow the Discord link and message me @DM in the general channel.
***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we at D&D in Dallas are taking extra precautions to help reduce the spread of the virus. This means that while our meetups are normally in person, we are temporarily switching all games to online games via Discord & Roll20. Please read ALL of the following rules carefully and completely, and you will find a link to the Discord Server at the end of the rules. -What is this?: This is a tabletop/online Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition series of games for players of all skill and experience levels in Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. Most of the games that we'll be playing will be wrapped up in one four-hour game session, with a 15 minute break in the middle. I'm Violet, the Organizer for this group! I usually play the Dungeon Master, but sometimes I play and let someone else DM! Let me know if you'd like to run a game yourself! -What do I need to bring?: >For in person games: Thou, thyself and thee! I have D&D Rulebooks, dice, figurines, pencils, and ready-to-play character sheets for anyone who needs them! >For online games: A free Discord.com account, a free Roll20.net account, a desktop computer, and a decent computer microphone! I can have a character made for you quickly and you can use the dice rollers in Discord or Roll20 to roll dice! -What if i want to make my own character?: Yes! However, please make sure to keep your character creation within the Wizards of the Coast Adventure League Guidelines. Want to homebrew? Message Violet and ask! If you need any help creating your character, I recommend the Fast Character maker (https://fastcharacter.com/) to whip something up quickly together for now, and then using the D&D 5e Players Handbook to make one when you feel more comfortable! If you are using the Players Handbook, regarding the optional rules, use the "Standard 27 Point Buy" method for starting stats (http://chicken-dinner.com/5e/5e-point-buy.html). Please don't use rolled stats as they often create a large stat disparity, and I have no way to verify that the rolls are legitimately made. As for your starting gold, you can assume at least 20 gold pieces per character level for equipment buying purposes, in addition to the gold given to you at character creation. -What level should I make my character?: Level 7! We change this on occasion, so make sure to check before RSVPing! -Can I bring a friend/friends?: If you have a plus one and they cannot make their own account to RSVP, please message me ASAP, as space is limited and each RSVP only counts for ONE seat. If you RSVP when it is already full, you may be placed onto the Waitlist, which means you do not yet have a guaranteed seat at the table. If you decide to attend while on the Waitlist, any unfilled seat as the game starts at 5pm will be up for grabs on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you are running late, please send Me a message before the game starts, otherwise your seat may be taken by someone on the waitlist! -Is there an age limit?: Per Meetup.com Terms of Service, you must be 18 or older in order to join or RSVP a meetup, and must we adhere to that rule for the safety and liability of all involved. -Thank you for reading all of this! Tell the DM the secret passphrase "Crawford" at your first session to receive a DM inspiration die! Here is the link for the Dimension Door Discord Server ('Dimension Door' is Violet's Tabletop RPG Business) where we will be hosting all Sunday D&D in Dallas games until further notice. [https://discord.gg/63GytGc] ****TABLE AVAILABILITY DISCLAIMER****: Half Price Books *DOES NOT* Guarantee that any tables or chairs will be available for us to use on any given day. As such, please be aware that if the situation arises that we do not have a table or chairs available, we may need to cancel that meetup with very short notice! Please make sure you are signed up for the Meetup emails so you are kept up to date.
