Introduction to Ensemble Logical Modeling

Details

Dear Data Architect and Modeler Meetuppers!

Ensemble Logical Modeling (ELM) is the modelling approach, based on the core idea of Unified Decomposition. Basically this idea recognizes that we want to break things out into component parts for reasons of flexibility, adaptability, agility and generally to facilitate the capture of things that are either interpreted in different ways or changing independently of each other. ELM is the umbrella modelling approach for Data Vault, Anchor, Focal Point, 2G etc.

In ELM we use workshops to identify Core Business Concepts, their Context Attributes and how they related to each other in Natural Business Relationships. Focus is very much on the business processes – not the source systems.

SAS Institute has kindly offered to host the event in their downtown Copenhagen office.

After the presentation there will be snacks and drinks and good opportunities to socialize with your peers!
