Daring Democracy-Igniting power, meaning and connection for the America we want

Join Frances Moore Lappé and Bob Massie in igniting a discussion about how we can power the emerging Democracy Movement into a new and thrilling world where everyone, and the rest of life, thrives.

The Agenda

5:30 Arrive. Find your name tag and check-in at the 1st Floor lobby. Take the elevator to the Venture Cafe on the 5th floor for coffee, tea, snacks and getting acquainted with the others. Take time to signup for the Daring Democracy mailing list. Let us know if you don't want to be seen on the live broadcast that begins at 6.

6:00 Sharp. Live broadcast will begin with Frances and Bob each briefly sharing their thoughts about the challenges, and the opportunities that we now face.

6:30 Table discussions. Attendees will form themselves into small teams of 8-10. They will introduce themselves to each other, select a moderator for their discussion, a reporter to summarize the discussion to the whole group and a timer to keep things moving. Then they will listen to each and discuss other’s reactions and thoughts about what they have heard and what they think and then form questions for Bob and Frankie.

7:00 Reconvene and listen to the comments and questions from the reporter of each team.

7:15 Bob and Frankie respond to the comments and questions.

7:25 Summary of the Sense of the Meeting and discussion of possible next steps including the possibility of an additional Daring Democracy meeting.

7:30 Formal Meeting closes. However, for those who want to continue, the Café room and breakout rooms will be available for any spontaneous discussions may have been ignited.

8:00 Venture Cafe closes for the evening with a thank you for everyone’s participation
