Being that there have been a LOT of emails back and forth this last week, I thought I would let people know how to adjust their notifications.

If you are in more than one meetup group (but hopefully less than 210!), you will need to change your email/notification settings for each group separately.

It doesn't matter what page you are, go to the upper right corner and hover over the "Account" tab, choose the "Email and Notifications" option. If you hover over "Account", it will be the second choice on the drop-down menu. If you click on "Account", you will find "Email and Notifications" on the left side of that page.

Choose the "Email and Notification settings" all the way on the right next to the Darwin's Tavern listing

The mail settings are at the bottom of that list, but you can adjust all of the settings for receiving notifications from Darwin's Tavern. For those of you that live out of town, but follow us, or if you don't want all this email, you can opt out of some of all of that.

Hi guys,
it's a very lively group and you've been bombarding my email account since I joined you. Not that it's a bad thing. Thought It's my turn to show some signs of life for once.
As I said in my introduction , I'm not from around there at all. I'm just planning a trip to your area and thought I'd check for ways to meet friendly people on the way and stumbled across this group. It was mainly the fossils gathering trip you've had that showed on my search results.
You plan way ahead and I like that, because I'm that sort of person as well. I might be able to make it to the mid June meeting, if it all goes as planned and if you'd have me.
All the best,
