Data Education DC (formerly Data Driven DC) is a non-profit professional and educational group that meets bi-monthly to learn and discuss Data Science concepts and applications. Members learn to use Machine Learning, Data Science and Data Visualization tools that they can apply immediately following our meetups!
Our members are business intelligence professionals, data scientists, programmers and students who are passionate about making an impact through data driven insights. Meetings are generally lectures on a range of Data Analysis and Data Visualization topics that include hands-on exercises and examples with real world applications - we welcome suggestions for topics that you are interested in learning about!
Code like a pro, with this follow-up session to the popular Pragmatic Python Series 😀.
Now's your chance to learn it all and become a pro💪!
Pragmatic Python Part 4 (PPP4) is the stimulus package for your mind 🧠!
In this session learn Advanced Object Oriented Programming.
==== Series Description: ===
Do you want to learn Python without the boring hassle of reading a book or listening to some academic professor lecture about all the data structures you WON'T use?
==== 💻 Meetup Description💻 : ====
Fear not! Learn Python the easy way.
Join this week's interactive talk where you can run code while learning all the cool Python functionalities: we will cover 3 types of methods, 2 types of attributes, @property (which is like an attribute fused with a method), and magic methods. Basically, all the things you always wanted to learn but were too busy.
Run code in the browser for free with all the batteries included: no setup script, no installation, and no git cloning! Since all audience members have access to the live coding, if you get stuck on a piece of code, definitely ask a question. Now's your chance to learn it all and become a pro!

==== Instructor's Bio ====
Eugene is a graduate from UC Berkeley in statistics and economics. However he does NOT have a CS background! He took 1 CS class--got a B+. He is a (mostly) self-taught programmer, so he teaches from an applied perspective instead of a theoretical one: focus on the core functionalities that programmers will actually use in real life.
Eugene is full stack Data Scientist at a Fortune 100 company, 4-time hackathon winner, GCP Certified Data Engineer, Certified Blockchain Developer, and open-source contributor for Dask.
Eugene's interest lies in distributed-computing frameworks and has ran a single job spanning 62 machines but also ETLed 150 Terabytes of IoT data on 1 machine.
