This month we will be joined by Jason King a data scientist at XSOLIS. The format of this meeting is a conversation, so bring your questions and learn what the data science scene is like from a real pro.

Jason is a Physicist-turned-Data-Scientist, with extensive experience in research, project management, and model design/creation. He has professional hands-on experience with big healthcare data (the messiest kind of data!), and has worked on a variety of data science projects in his spare time. Jason's specialties are Feature Engineering, Natural Language Processing, Word Embeddings.

Jason works at XSOLIS, a company that helps healthcare organizations manage revenue risk through a real-time predictive analytics platform that minimizes avoidable loss, mitigates the risk of denials, and streamlines operational processes. The basic idea: when healthcare companies submit claims to insurance providers, XSOLIS is able to understand the content of the claims and predict whether or not the claim will be rejected. This helps healthcare companies and patients avoid the cost of rejected claims.
