Description: This talk will explore a number of different tools available for building pipelines and distributed data pipelines. The presentation was designed with both beginner and advanced audiences in mind. While it will briefly touch upon more general concepts, it will also dive into more detailed use cases.

Talk: Lessons Learned From Creating a Distributed Scraper

Description: Anish and his team have been re-building their data pipeline and experimenting/exploring various approaches. In this talk, Anish will discuss the advantages, disadvantages, and some things they learned while creating a distributed scraper using Elixir and the OTP framework.

There are tons of Vancouver companies tackling distributed systems and data pipelines as they scale their businesses so we thought it was time the community came together to share what they've learned along the way and maybe pick up a few new tricks from others too.
