We will go through hardware selection, on what to spend more money and where we can save the money. How to configure OS and storage system to leverage the system abilities to their maximum, with the accent on SQL Server-specific workload.
Tweaks in installation and configuration of SQL Server and database settings for optimal performance.
You will see some of the tricks used by experienced professionals to make SQL Server run fast on SQL Server 2016 & 2017 on Windows 2016, but most of it can be applied to previous versions as well (Windows & SQL Server 2008 upwards).
