Talk Title: Product Growth: Best Practices for Getting and Keeping an Audience
Talk Abstract: Helping the right people in the right place at the right time in-product helps drive product adoption and retention. Take away best practices from Facebook product growth in acquisition, activation, engagement, virality and optimising app experiences through examples in practice.
Magda Piatkowska - Co-Founder and CDO at Waive
Talk Title: Our habits and daily lives changed. Let’s explore how our data followed.
Talk Abstract : Sudden digitalisation of most aspects of our lives has not only let us discover that partying with friends online is not such a bad idea, but it also means - more data. More activities happen online and more of them are captured and can be translated into structured information. My talk will explore who loses and who gains from this new wave of explosion in breadth, depth and volume of data.
Yu-Lan Scholliers - Data Scientist at Facebook
Talk Title: Measuring Fake Accounts at Scale
Talk Abstract: People create Fake Accounts on our platform for different reasons, sometimes with malicious intent. We will talk about how we enforce these accounts and how we measure the prevalence of Fake Accounts on our platform, and how we use this data to make decisions.
Leila Seith Hassan - Head of Data Science and Analytics at Digitas.
Talk Title: Can we predict when and what to advertise as movement restrictions ease?
Talk Abstract: For business or pleasure, most of us can’t travel right now. Travel companies in response have greatly decreased media. But eventually, they’ll need to know when, where and with what message they should start advertising. We’re creating a predictive solution to understand how people feel about travelling, to where and for what type of travel. We’ll use this to know when to turn advertising back on with relevant region-based messages when lockdown restrictions start to ease.
