Shuaiwei Zhou - Data Scientist at Bank of Ireland

Summary: Bank of Ireland regularly holds campaigns and events across the country to promote the Bank. The Customer Analytics team are responsible for fully understanding the impact of these events on customer interactions with the Bank. In this project, we apply advanced statistical evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness and success of specific Bank of Ireland campaigns and events held across the country. Gathering a mix of internal and external data, econometric and statistical methodologies were deployed to build evidence that could be used to make a connection between community events and a number of indicators such as sales of products, customer satisfaction, etc. Insights from the analysis were used to guide strategic changes for campaign and event planning in the Bank.

Martin Murphy - Marketing Data Scientist in Customer Analytics, Bank of Ireland – Financial Wellbeing

Summary: The Bank of Ireland Financial Wellbeing Programme has recently been launched with a range of elements designed to help customers and colleagues make their own Begin to better financial wellbeing. Analytics can help focus attention on where to devote effort and resources into improving the financial wellbeing of customers. This talk aims to provide an overview on identifying what customer behaviours we should focus on in order to increase the financial wellbeing index of our customers, using the Financial Wellbeing survey data. Our strategy focused on discovering which responses within each of the survey questions are most influential on the overall financial wellbeing index score. Through simulations, we compare strategical options of increasing the financial wellbeing score, considering the number of customer behaviours we would have to target and the resulting effects of these reforms.
