Welcome to the intersection of data science and financial technology!
This meetup group now has a new organizer and is dedicated to providing hands-on workshops focused on the application of data science principles within the FinTech space. This is more hands on than the previous meetup group, with a view towards actually working and experimenting with the technology which powers data science as applied to financial applications.
At each meetup, we will learn something about data science and machine learning techniques through a financial lens. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops with Python and Anaconda installed to actively engage with real-world data and algorithms.
Alongside our practical workshops, we also host regular social events - our FinTech & Data Science Happy Hours. These offer a relaxed environment where you can network, exchange ideas, or simply chat about the latest trends and innovations in the field. We believe in the power of conversation to spur new ideas and collaborations.
