What we're about

This is a group for anyone interested in data science topics, machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, etc. All skill levels are welcome. The vision is to create a strong data science community in Minneapolis, collaborate, network and build cool technology.

Events include talks, breaking down research papers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities for a broader audience interested in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Machine Learning. With an additional focus on engineering and talking about ways to engineer AI technology. We provide technical working sessions, ranging from Kaggle competitions to small hackathons, workshops and seminars.

An Introduction to Deep Metric Learning - Sponsored by Target

This month's event is a talk given by Lead AI Scientist Matthew Nokleby on Deep Metric Learning. *Important Notes* If you are NOT an employee of Target and you plan to attend you MUST RSVP with a 'Yes'. We will be giving the list of names that RSVP 'Yes' to the security desk so they may allow the attendees inside. A check-in table at the Security desk will have your name and a temporary badge, please visit the table to access the building. Someone will be there to help check you in and bring you to the event's room. If you ARE a Target Team Member check-in is not necessary and the room is CC-217.
