Format: After a presentation of motivation and concepts the focus will be on doing R programming. During the exercises the participants will discuss and work together.

Prerequisites: Laptop with the latest version of R (https://cran.r-project.org), Rstudio (https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/) and the data.table package.

Target Audience: This is a beginner level course aimed at anyone who works with data.

Bio: Saghir Bashir is the founder of ilustat (http://ilustat.com), a data science training and consultancy company based in Portugal. After earning a PhD in "Biostatistics and Epidemiology" he has worked on various real life data science projects in both the public and private sectors. He is a natural communicator who actively engages his audiences in his presentations, courses and workshops.
