Data Science Engineering Dojo

Details
Hi All,
We are excited to invite you for another coding morning. All levels from complete novices to experienced data scientists/engineers/analysts/enthusiasts are welcome at the meetup.
We recommend bringing a fully charged laptop with programming environment installed (i.e. Python) and ready to use.
Agenda:
9:30 - 10:15 Data science at the command line Part 1 by Severino
10:25 - 11:15 Data science at the command line Part 2 by Severino
11:30 - 12:15 Neural Networks with Keras - Image Classification and Time Series Analysis by Michael Grogan
12:15 - 13:00 Working on Kaggle competitions or sharing your experience
Data science at the command line
In the first part of this tutorial, we will have the opportunity to familiarize with VIM text editor and several command line programs useful throughout a Data Science workflow.
In the second part of the workshop, we will try to apply the previous tools for solving specific machine learning problems.
Neural Networks with Keras - Image Classification and Time Series Analysis
This presentation will cover the use of Neural Networks with Keras. Specifically, Keras will be used across two specific case studies to illustrate the use of:
- Image Classification with Convolutional Neural Networks
- Time Series Forecasting with LSTMs (Long-Short Term Memory Networks)
Finally, we will have time for Kaggle competitions. You can join a group for the relevant Kaggle competition, with your level of expertise or technology (coding) stack.
Kaggle has two active competitions:

https://www.kaggle.com/c/microsoft-malware-prediction
