Torq Pagdin is the Director of Data Engineering at Hotels.com, part of Expedia Group, Inc. and has more than 25 years of experience working in the data engineering field. Hotels.com is a truly data-driven company and the HDE team have a mission to maximize the power of data for the analysts and data science community.

In this talk, Torq is going to talk about the Expedia group and Hotels.com's Big Data roadmap and how this has evolved since 2016. From ETL jobs to Replication and Exploratory Analytics, data engineering teams have completed dozens of PoCs on different technologies and designed and implemented internal solutions that have been open-sourced.
