This will be a record, announcing less than one week before an event, I'll have to normalize attendance numbers for the lead time!
This Wednesday nclud & DVDC are happy to host Scott Murray, @alignedleft, presenting:
Whatever Happened to “Augmenting Human Intellect”?
Scott Murray is a code artist who writes software to create data visualizations and other interactive phenomena. His work incorporates elements of interaction design, systems design, and generative art. Scott is an Assistant Professor of Design at the University of San Francisco, a contributor to Processing, and author of “Interactive Data Visualization for the Web: An Introduction to Designing with D3.” His work can be seen at alignedleft.com (http://alignedleft.com/).
DVDC is happy to support Byte Back (http://byteback.org/), a nonprofit computer and job training center which serves over a thousand low-income adults each year.
Data Community DC is happy to announce our newest sponsor: Arlington Economic Development, who will be hosting Data Science DC March 24th at the Artisphere (http://www.artisphere.com) in Rosslyn. This is a very large space and so provides a unique opportunity to sponsor with a booth in the reception area.
If you or your organization would like to donate or sponsor, please feel free to reach us through meetup, @DataVizDC, or @DataCommunityDC.
Sponsors: Cloudera, SynglyphX, Statistics.com, General Assembly, Continuum Analytics, nclud, Arlington Economic Development.
