What is your favorite tool for visualizing data?

I am familiar with a variety of tools and each serves well for particular cases depending on the volume and size of the data, users, preferred devices to access, desired interactivity, purpose of data viz (for example data exploration versus data explanation) and so on.

Do you think data visualization is more of an art or more of a science? Why?

I think there are different types and styles of data visualizations and each serve particular use cases. Some have stronger scientific aspect and some are more artistic.
