***** About Jorge Camões *****
As a consultant for every-day and business data visualisation, with clients ranging from smart irrigation to pharmaceutical companies, Jorge has focused his attention on visualisation effectiveness: how to communicate insights and how to improve its supporting role for the decision-making process. A publicly available result of this focus on visualisation effectiveness is his presentation at the Eurostat NTTS 2017 conference, where he discussed data visualization practices by European statistical offices.
Jorge wrote a book on data visualisation principles and guidelines for office users, and runs a popular blog on the same subject. He’s currently working on visual/wordless instructions for making charts using popular tools, which could make better visualisation resources available to non-English speaking users and help improve their graphical literacy.
