We are launching our 2nd Micro Projects cohort!
The Micro Projects Initiative is our response to the overwhelming demand from members who want more opportunities to volunteer with Data for Good YYC.
Micro Projects are short term data projects that are initiated and led by volunteers/members and serve a social benefit. The initiative aims to create more participation/volunteering opportunities for members to grow their skills, network, work in a team, and have fun!
Through this initiative, members will propose and scope data projects and work in a team to complete the projects, using publicly available data.
In this Meetup, we will go over the:
- Project initiation process
- Team formation process
- Training and onboarding
- Data for Good core team and Project Management
support/oversight - What to expect from Project initiation to Project close-out
This Meetup will also include a networking session where we will brainstorm on potential projects together.
