Dok Community (Asian timetable #1): Best Practices for Overprovisioning in k8s
Hosted by Data on Kubernetes Community
Details
// Abstract
We will take a deep dive on the benefits of overprovisioning by discussing how we can implement an efficient solution to overscale a Kubernetes cluster and therefore keep always enough room in the cluster for applications to grow in number of replicas. We will speak about how on-promises and some public cloud solutions are still very slow when provisioning new nodes for Kubernetes. Additionally many people struggle with the fact that there is no native solution available. There is a Helm Chart available for an easier implementation so that it's not so frustrating.
// Jose Luis and Miguel Angel are writing a book about best practices on Kubernetes and this will be one part of it. Our community will be raffling copies of the book when it's ready and all of the proceeds of the book sales will be going to the CNCF.
